Hand-drawn drama, frame by frame. flaminguettes x lsd
For the Prime Video series Valiendo Madres, we were invited by RORRAZ & Flaminguettes to develop the illustration and animated intro concepts for each episode. The series follows four mothers who, after a chaotic school camp, uncover an affair that completely transforms their bond of friendship.
we created the illustrations that frame each episode title. Under Flaminguettes’ direction, we had full creative freedom to explore both the visual language and animation style. The goal: to make it feel like everything was drawn by kids.
We worked with textures of stains, scribbles, messy lines, and a bright, playful color palette. The animation was fast, energetic, and expressive. One of the main challenges was integrating our animation with the live-action footage creating a seamless mix of real-life scenes and illustrated doodles.
We went beyond the screen, incorporating hand-drawn textures and analog techniques to give the final result a unique, handcrafted feel.
